Terms of Service
Last updated October 1, 2026
These are the terms for using Court Carousel ("the app"). By creating an account or using a game code you agree to them. They are meant to be read, so they are short. Questions: [email protected].
1. What the app is
A free tool that arranges players across courts each round and lets everyone see the arrangement on their phone. It is a personal project offered as-is. It may change, pause or shut down at any time; if it shuts down we will try to give notice on the site first.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 13 to create an account, and give a real email address so we can reach you.
- Keep your password and sign-in methods to yourself. What happens under your account is your responsibility.
- One person, one account. Don't impersonate anyone.
3. Running a group
- When you add someone's name to a roster or game you confirm you are allowed to. Use a first name or nickname where that is enough, and remove anyone who asks.
- A game code lets anyone who has it see the names in that game – and, if you enable it, run the game. Share codes with the people playing, not publicly.
- Admins you invite get the same control over the group as you, except deleting it.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use the app to harass anyone, to store anything unlawful, offensive or sensitive (health, financial or similar details have no place in a roster), to probe or overload the service, or to do anything that would be a problem for the other people using it. We may suspend or remove accounts, groups or games that break these rules.
5. Your content
Names, groups and game history you enter remain yours. You give us permission to store and display them to run the service, and nothing more. The app itself, its design and its code belong to its operator.
6. No guarantees
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise it will be available, error-free, or that the shuffles will be perfect. Keep your own record of anything you can't afford to lose – there is no export or backup feature.
7. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the app, and total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid to use it – which is nothing. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Ontario law.
8. Ending things
You can delete your account whenever you like. We can close accounts that break these terms or that have been unused for a long time, and we will delete their data as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and any dispute goes to the courts of Ontario.
10. Changes
These terms may change at any time, without individual notice. When they do, the date at the top changes, and if the change matters organizers are told when they next sign in. The current version is always at this address. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
